he National Apiculture Program for 2020-2022 has been approved by EC

The European Commission has approved Bulgaria's National Apiculture Program for the period 2020-2022. Its total budget amounts to BGN 6.4 million for each of the three years of its implementation. 50% of the funds are provided by the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund and 50% are from the national budget. All measures implemented so far are included in the Program and new support measures are envisaged.

Minister Taneva: Young farmers will be the focus of support policies and the CAP after 2020

Young farmers are the focus of support policies of the Common Agricultural Policy, they will continue to be the focus in the next programming period. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Desislava Taneva at the opening of the second National Forum of Young Farmers at the Agricultural University - Plovdiv, organised by the MEP from the European People's Party Vladimir Urutchev.

New rules to boost consumer trust approved by MEPs

New rules to ensure reliability and transparency in EU food safety risk assessment procedure were adopted on Wednesday (April, 17).

MEPs have approved new rules, already agreed with EU ministers, which ensure the EU’s risk assessment procedure for food safety is more reliable, transparent and objective, passing with 603 votes in favour, 17 against and 27 abstentions.
